Welcome to the many members who have joined the site, and we hope you'll mention us to your friends and help us get up and running. Many of the boards are up and running and free for you to just jump in and start talking or RPing in once you submit a character.
I'd like to take the chance to thank Narisha, who's been a great help to me in many more ways than one, who has assisted in making many of the alternative skins for the site, some of which are still under construction but visible in your profile details. She also had a great idea for many of the spells and abilities being easier to assign, which can be found on the relevant boards. Many many props to her, as I just did loads of writing, she did the thinking.
Hope you guys have fun and we'll hope to see a thriving community with some luck.

As some as you may have noticed there are several more members joining us, so to those I'd like to extend our welcome and hope you'll stay with us as we grow. There have been a few changes to the running of things, so I'll go through these one at a time. Firstly, the abilities section has a list of all classes, with their spells split into aggressive, defensive and passive. These lists are free to be used to help design your characters, though it is more than likely you'll have to be choosey with the skills, as it's unlikely a magic user could be versed in all warlock and mage skills. In fact it would be unlikely they'd be able to handle all of a single class' skills. Factors such as age, training and just plain skill would limit them. Also the Shaman abilities have been uploaded, despite my lack of noticing I'd left them out. Years of playing Alliance, so... yeah. My fault. We've also changed the rules on ressurrection abilities. Being able to ressurrect characters would be too overpowered and god-mod-like, so it's best if we just avoid it altogether. Soulstones, however, will still preserve a character. And finally I noticed some people asking about Nathrezim. That's a Nathrezim in case you wondered. Anyway, obviously there's going to be restrictions on characters that can ressurrect themselves when killed. 1 - Not overpowered. They are strong, but die. Weak against holy powers like all demons. 2 - They've lost a lot of power since many of their most powerful members died to Sylvanas and the Forsaken. 3 - They are more arcane-based than melee oriented, though some do prefer close-quarters. 4 - They can fly, though they seem to prefer not to. 5 - They can summon Infernals, Doomguards and undead hordes, though not likely all 3. As with other characters, just keep it balanced and we'll see if we can work around them. As of the moment they are acting as commanders for the Burning Legion, no longer commanding the Lich King's armies. www.wowwiki.com/Nathrezim

New announcement. First off, partly due to his energetic attitute and partly because of my travels to the scary land of University, I've promoted DS as the first of our staff assistants. He'll probably be seen going hyperactive around the site, and so far has helped a lot concerning bringing us members and coming up with plot ideas. *performs one-handed clapping as he goes onto the next sheet of paper*
Furthermore, I'd just like to remind people that Godmodding is not accepted anywhere on this forum, so I'd like members to be aware that the following has been added to the site rules: All spells cast in Roleplay MUST have a spell name attributed to the phenomenon I call 'glowing hands syndrome'. Basically, glowing hands imply a spell is being cast, however if the spell being cast is not explicitly described and labelled, it allows the Godmodding opportunity for a character to react to anything in a perfect way.
i.e. Warlock A has glowing hands. Warlock B uses shadowbolt. Warlock A uses shadow ward. or Warlock B uses soulfire. Warlock A counters it with his soulfire. or Warlock B uses Curse of Recklessness. Warlock A uses Curse of Weakness.
I'm sure you get the picture.
I believe the final point to make is that all previously instant-cast spells now must have a cast time, even if very short. This is partly for RP fairness, but the thought of a man jumping a distance of 8 feet from standing is a little absurd, if you get my meaning. This cast time, as with all other spells, may have an incantation or not. Personal preference. Some noteworthy spells that were previously instant cast which now have cast times are:
Warriors: No spells.
Rogues: No spells.
Shaman: Earth Shock, Frost Shock, Wind Shock, Flame Shock, Purge, ALL totems, Lightning Shield, Frostbrand Weapon, Rockbiter Weapon, Flametongue Weapon, Earthliving Weapon, Windfury Weapon, Ghost Wolf Form.
Paladin: Exorcism, Consecration, Holy Shock, ALL Blessings, ALL Hands.
Priest: Shadow Word: Pain, Holy Nova, Shadow Word: Death, Power Word: Shield, Renew, Psychic Scream.
Mage: Frost Nova, Arcane Explosion, Cone of Cold, Blast Wave, Dragon's Breath, Fireblast, Ice Lance, Frost Armour, Dampen Magic, Amplify Magic, Evocate, Frost Ward, Fire Ward, Mage Armour, Molten Armour, Mana Shield, Ice Block, Blink.
Warlock: ALL curses, Corruption, Drain Life, Drain Mana, Shadowburn, Hellfire, Demon Skin, Lifetap, Fel Armour, Shadow Ward, Metamorphosis.
Druid: Moonfire, Thorns, Rejuvination, Innervate, Lifebloom, Nourish, ALL shapeshift forms.
Hunter: No spells.
On a final note, I hope everyone is looking forward to the Brewfest events in the coming weeks. Have a good one.

Evening or Morning to everyone-
I'm just dropping a note in to update everyone on the fun things we have going on this Fall/ Winter.
WE HAVE EVENTS!
Make sure to keep up to date on the forum wide events listed in the calendar. The first events we have to look forward to are the Harvest Festival, and Brewfest. I'm sure everyone can get all worked up over the possibility of drinking, games, and seeing friends or foes from any side of the battle.
Forum wide events will be held in different neutral locations each time we have one. Everyone will get to rp together, so sit down with one another and come up with some interesting plot lines for each other. We are definitely looking forward to this later part of the years as there are many of these events coming up.
Horde only and Alliance only events will be colored and held in Horde or Alliance territories.
This brings me to my next thing. Welcome to our new members! We have had 5 I believe this week and we are thrilled to have each one. They are all enthusiastic and excellent posters. Welcome Welcome Welcome
Lastly...
RECRUIT!
We are up on many different forums and affiliating with even more, but nothing works like word of mouth. If you have friends that love fantasy rp'ing, Warcraft, WoW or just rp'ing in general, send them our way.
One a side note- we are looking into the possible implementation of a pre-programmed Character Bio format. Keep your eyes peeled for that.
Otherwise, everyone, thank you so much for the time and effort you've all put into helping Cal and I make this site work.
~Narisha~
